EndNote bug fix for 2010 publication dates

Posted January 26th, 2010 by Tara Murray in Citation Managers

If you’re using EndNote X2 or a previous version, you may have noticed that citations with a publication date of 2010 do not import properly – the year field is blank.

This is due to a bug in the software which requires the year field to begin with 19** or 200*.

EndNote has a page describing solutions to the problem, depending on which version of the software you are using. PRI computing staff are working on applying the patch to all of our lab computers, which have EndNote X2.

For more EndNote tips, see our EndNote help page and subscribe to the feed for this blog category.
