This is the latest wave of core HRS data. It has been released early so that it may be used by active HRS researchers. Please note that there may be errors in the data files and codebook. Please do report any errors you find to HRS. Watch this site as several updates are likely to occur. The files have been added to PopNet only at this time. When a “final” version is released, these data will be added to SodaPop.

The HRS 2002 Core Data (Final Version 1.0) has been updated. The
text of the update notice is somewhat confusing, therefore all files were obtained, added to PopNet, and those specifically mentioned in the notice were replaced in SodaPop.

UCR Supplemental Homicide Reports 2003 is the latest wave of the UCR Supplemental Homicide data series. The data, documentation, and input files were downloaded from ICPSR and added to PopNet and the UCR SodaPop Collection.

An updated version of Lab 40 Iron and TIBC files has been released. The original file set released in late June 2005 (we obtained July 15) had sample persons ages 3-5 years and females 12-49 years only. This new release has all sample persons, male and female, ages 1 and over. The files have been downloaded and added to PopNet and corrected in SodaPop.

A new version (release 4) of the PSID Individual 1968-2003 ER files has become available as of 8/1/2005. This new version was released due to a correction made to the father ID for two records. The files have been added to PopNet and to SodaPop. The earlier version of this dataset, released in late July, is still available on PopNet should it be needed.
