National Science Foundation Update

HRS Tracker File, Version 2.0

NLSY97 Mainfile Round 1-7

The NLSY97 Mainfile Rounds 1-7 (1997-2003) Dataset was re-released in October 2005. This release supercedes the June 2005 release. The files were dowloaded from the Center for Human Resource Research and burned to CD-ROM. The files have already been processed and are available via SodaPop. The CD-ROM will be cataloged. The downloaded file had to remain zipped on the CD-ROM due to its large size.

NCES State Education Data Profiles

The NCES State Education Data Profiles dynamic Web site provides access to statewide information in elementary/secondary education, postsecondary education, public libraries and selected demographics for all states in the U.S. You can select up to 4 states for comparison. In addition to the statewide data, U.S. averages are also given. Results can graphed on-the-fly. The data used for this data tool comes from many NCES sources and was recently updated with 2004-05 postsecondary education information.

A Vision of Britain Through Time

A Vision of Britain Through Time Web site provides a historical view of Britain between 1801 and 2001, including maps, statistical trends and historical descriptions. This site was created by the Great Britain Historical GIS Project based in the Department of Geography of the University of Portsmouth. The mission of the Great Britain Historical GIS Project is to provide a spatial framework for historical information about Britain…see “About Historical GIS” for more information.
