It was found during routine collection maintenance that a downloadable version of the NHANES III (1988-1994) is available.

Component 1A appears to be the only component that has not been modified from the initial release in 1997 (CD-ROM). Components 2A - 6A have all been updated since 1997 (see component listing below).

There are also several completely new components for the collection - 7A through 12A, and 14A through 18A. These components have been released at various times over the past eight years.

These new files are currently available only on PopNet UNIX, but will be added to SodaPop in the near future. Below is a file listing of what is available in the archive:

NOTE: This entry was modified on January 6, 2006 due to an error listed in the posting. The post stated that components 1A - 6A did not replace the files released on CD-ROM in 1997. It was found that with the exception of 1A, components 2A-6A will need to replace what we have on SodaPop due to changes in the files.
