Posted January 13th, 2006 by Lisa Broniszewski in Health, MEPSThis paper describes the results of research using data from the Household Component of the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey to produce a selected group of state-level estimates for the 30 states with the largest populations. Three methods of estimation are used. Each method is evaluated using standard measures, and conclusions about the quality of these estimates, along with recommendations, are given.
