The PRI Library has received an announcement for a conference co-sponsored by the Institut national détudes démographiques (INED) on Social Statistics and Ethnic Diversity: Should we count, how should we count and why?

In The Feminization of Migration: Limits of the Data, a new article available from the Population Reference Bureau, Nancy Yinger describes gaps in data on female migrants, who account for about half of all immigrants worldwide.

Population Health Metrics is an online, Open Access, peer-reviewed journal published by BioMed Central addressing “all aspects of measurement of the health of populations.” This journal has been added to the PRI Library journals collection.

NCHS announced the internet release of NHIS 1970-1971.

NCHS has released the following 2003-2004 NHANES Laboratory data sets:

Lab 39 - Selenium data has been added to the existing data. This data is now available in SodaPop and PopNet.
Lab 43 - Vitamin B6 (PDF documentation)

The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) has released a new report titled “The Path Through Graduate School: A Longitudinal Examination 10 Years After Bachelor’s Degree.” The report uses longitudinal data from the 1992–93 Baccalaureate and Beyond Study (B&B:93/03).
