University Libraries to offer NIH Public Access training

On Thursday, October 9, a training session will examine copyright issues leading to the Open Access movement and the NIH Public Access Mandate as well as provide an explanation of the manuscript submission process and an overview of the copyright addendum, approved by University counsel, to be used with a manuscript submission.

The presentation will also be broadcast on Media Site Live and accessible for 30 days.

Presenters include Marie FitzSimmons, reference librarian, and Esther Dell, reference and interlibrary loan librarian, from the George T. Harrell Library, Penn State Hershey.

The PRI Information Core is offering 2 workshops as part of the PRI Workshop Series this semester:

Locating Demographic Literature will introduce you to the bibliographic databases commonly used in demography and how to locate full text of papers.

Finding Demographic Data will show you how to locate and access secondary data for your research.
