The FIPS 55 raw data and documentation have been added to PopNet UNIX in order to provide source data for the PRI FIPS SodaPop Collection. As this version was more current that what was available in SodaPop, that collection was also updated.

The FIPS 55 was withdrawn in February of 2005 and the guideline was redesigned with some significant changes. See the full text of the change notice for more information. All of the data files (combined and individual) that comprise the FIPS 55 were re-released in December of 2005. The combined file used in SodaPop has been replaced with the new version. Revised documentation, however, was not released by the GNIS along with the data.

A raw version of these data is not available on PopNet UNIX at this time, but will be added in the near future.
